Rebuilding Together Oakland

In October 2007, bank officers, staff and friends of OneCal devoted two Saturdays to
improving the East Oakland home of Luther and Perline Jesse. The volunteer crew
built a wheelchair ramp for the Jesses' son Billy. He lives in the detached garage and
had not been able to enter the house. The crew also cleared debris from the yard,
painted the house inside and out, pruned bushes and built a railing for the back stairs.

Volunteer crews from other businesses worked with RTO on the same block rehabilitating
the homes of other seniors and disabled persons so that they can live in safety, comfort
